Professor Robert KearneyOn the 12th of September, Over a month ago Professor Robert Kearney (well respected marine biologist) caused quite a stir by simply stating the facts in an address to The Australian Society for Fish Biology, Canberra.

"Many citizens of the Batemans region have been hoodwinked into believing that the proposal for this park was actually based on sound science and that the park will deliver considerable benefits to biodiversity conservation and recreational fishing"

The first reaction from government and the radicals was to hold their breath and wait till the stink blew away. When it didn't, their next step was to send out soon to be Ex-Director of NPWS Tony Fleming, knowing that if it backfired they could distance themselves form what he said. Morning in Batemans Bay I wanted to take this chance to post an update now that the website is slowly taking shape.

My name is Dave I'm a committee member of Coastal Rights Association and since I'm not too bad at finding my way around a computer I've landed the job of setting up the CRA website.

Thanks for looking us up, as you can tell there is not a lot here as yet but I will be adding to it every day, so pop back often and watch as it all comes together. At the moment I am working on the Marine Parks page, there will also be news articles, audio and video recorded through out the "consultation" process all to be added as time permits.

There are plans for a forum for discussion, question and answers etc. If there is anything you would like to see feel free to contact me. When I get the chance to write it my contact details as well as other committee members will be on the contacts page.

Dave
