The Letter

 

 After many emails and phone calls to the ministers office concerning the many problems with Batemans Marine Park (BMP), the most serious being the fact that her government has miss-lead the Governor and pushed the parks zoning through illegally. Yesterday we received an official email from the ministers office signed by her.

 

 

This letter is intended to be the ministers official response to all our previous correspondence with her and also anything we have addressed to the Premier. 

 

Far from being  an adequate response to all the matters raised, it raises many more questions.

Many of the points made in the letter are just a repeat of previous statements made by the ministers office in defence of BMP and NSW marine parks in general, it is also implied that Professor Bob Kearney is a lone voice against the rest of the scientific community. 

 

Of great interest to me is why the minister failed to make mention of our biggest question.

Sorry Minister, if your letter was intended to be your last word on the matter, be informed that as far as we are concerned it is just the start. Now would be a good time to sit down and start to discuss the issues directly and not through your ill-informed advisers.
